Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting of the Development Department’s CM Dashboard performance indicators at the Collectorate Auditorium, emphasizing the need for timely execution of projects and accurate reporting to improve the district’s overall ranking.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate reviewed the progress of various departments against the parameters prescribed under the Chief Minister’s Dashboard monitoring system. He noted that the Chief Minister regularly reviews the performance of districts at the state level and made it clear that negligence or delays in implementation would not be tolerated.
Expressing concern over the performance of the Tourism Department, the District Magistrate observed that several pending and underperforming projects were adversely affecting the district’s ranking on the dashboard. He directed the concerned officials to take immediate corrective measures and ensure significant improvement in project execution and reporting.
Emphasis on Timely Data Upload and Project Completion
The District Magistrate instructed all departments to regularly update and upload the status of their respective works on the designated online portal within the stipulated timelines. He said accurate and timely data entry is essential for effective monitoring and evaluation at the state level.
He further directed executing agencies to expedite the completion of all ongoing projects and ensure that completed works are formally handed over to the concerned departments without delay. This, he said, would help improve service delivery and ensure that completed infrastructure and development projects are put to use at the earliest.
Focus on Accountability and Performance
The review meeting focused on strengthening departmental accountability and ensuring that development works are completed efficiently in accordance with government priorities. Officials were instructed to closely monitor pending projects and address bottlenecks affecting progress.
The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Devyani, Project Director (DRDA) Chandra Prakash Srivastava, District Panchayati Raj Officer Kamal Kishore, Basic Education Officer Dr. Vinita, and other concerned departmental officials.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to improving performance on the CM Dashboard and ensuring the timely implementation of development projects across Bareilly district.
